The preceding candidates have a proven track record of being friendly to labor and to issues of working families.    The first step of receiving an endorsement is for a candidate to pro- actively ask for an endorsement from the Northwest Federation of Labor.  The Northwest Federation of Labor Executive Board recommended endorsement to the General body, which then voted on the endorsement.

Local unions are not bound by this endorsement list.  Each local can make its own endorsement decisions based on the wishes of their own membership.
